In the past few months, we had the pleasure of contributing to two seminars focused on spatial planning and nature-based solutions, engaging with high school students across Trentino.

The first took place on 23 January in Riva del Garda, at Istituto Floriani
The second on 19 March in Cavalese, at Istituto La Rosa Bianca

Our colleagues from the PLANES Lab — Chiara Cortinovis, Enzo Falco and Silvia Frezzi —introduced students to an alternative way of planning cities through nature, linking it to current challenges such as climate change. Through examples and case studies developed in Trento, we explored how nature-based solutions can be applied in real contexts and their potential implications for more sustainable and resilient urban environments.

It was a pleasure to engage with students from different classes and to translate these topics into real-life discussions with younger generations.

We hope these seminars will help raise awareness on these important challenges and inspire future perspectives on sustainable urban development.
