European Regional Report on Nature-Based Solutions

The European Regional Report, part of the Global Roadmap for Nature-based Solutions, will be launched on 14 November 2025 at the University of Helsinki. Hosted by the NATURA Network, the event will bring together researchers, policymakers, city representatives, and practitioners to discuss how global insights on nature-based solutions intersect with European and Nordic policy priorities. Key themes include the EU Nature Restoration Regulation, the New European Bauhaus, and the EU Urban Nature Plans. The launch will be live-streamed globally, offering participants worldwide the opportunity to follow the discussions and engage with experts shaping the future of nature-based solutions.
By connecting scientific findings with policy frameworks, the European Regional Report aims to strengthen regional collaboration and accelerate the adoption of nature-based approaches across Europe. Moreover, the report is a regional contribution to the Global Roadmap for Nature-based Solutions, an international effort to guide governments, researchers, and practitioners in scaling up NbS for climate adaptation, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development.
