Davide Geneletti has received the Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation for his research work in the area of landscape planning. Award winners will be invited to do a research project of their choice in a German research institution to promote scientific cooperation.
He was also invited to chair the Opening Ceremony of the Annual Assembly of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation on 23 June, which was attended by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and by the 2020 Nobel Prize Laureate for Chemistry, Emmanuelle Charpentie.
